The next step is to click on ‘compose message’ where you have to verify that the email matches, and you can click on ‘credit card menu’, before going down to click on ‘inquiry/not listed’. Select the ‘account number’ option and you will be allowed to select the credit card you want to cancel. There will be a message box where you will have to type your reason for canceling the card, but you should make it clear that the balance you have is a $0 balance. Click send.

Close Chase Credit Card Account Through The Phone

You might have to call a customer service number if you intend cancelling a chase credit card account through the phone, and the phone number to call is already written behind a billing statement. You can visit the Chase contact page and find the number there too, and you will have to speak with a customer service agent who is always available 247 to listen and handle all of your complaints.

Speaking with the agent means stating what you want them to do for you, and you can go ahead and tell them you want to cancel your chase credit card account in a way that it won’t have a negative effect on your credit score.
