If your car wasn’t declared a total car then it means it can be repaired and this also means that you have the legal rights to take your car to any mechanic or body shop of your choice to get the repairs done.

In some cases, the insurance company would suggest an auto repair shop they have an agreement with and would advice you to take it there but what they still won’t tell you is that you have the right to choice whichever auto repair shop you want to get your vehicle damages fixed.

In several of our previous posts, we stated clearly that the insurance companies seek to make money and not just pay out because that is the sole essence of business, to make money. The insurance company isn’t really your friend and you truly shouldn’t be surprised even though you will when they end up not caring about your certain needs and demands.

You shouldn’t be surprised when they are not moved to quickly resolve your claim and that is simply because they do not work for you. There are two tactics insurance companies use;

1. The first tactic is to delay

Even after contacting with the insurance company’s claims adjuster, it might take a very long time before you hear from them again. Even though you leave several voice messages or call their customer service, you will still be surprised at the fact that none of your calls or messages would be returned. The main point you should get from this is the insurance company simply doesn’t care.

2. Another tactic insurance companies employ is to make sure you sign a settlement hurriedly

When they table a settlement offer, you might be filled with happiness inside of you that you would be getting some money finally but what you don’t know is you might be faced with certain complications down the road if the settlement you are being offered would only take care of your car damages and not body injuries that you must have sustained in the car crash.

Furthermore, there are also alternative solutions if you find yourself in a similar situation as this if you are dealing with the insurance company of the at fault driver. The best advice we can give is contacting your own insurance company instead of waiting on the insurance company of the at fault driver.

The aim of doing this is to inform them that you have been involved in a car wreck which you were not at fault for. The reason why most people shy away from doing this is the fear of their insurance rates rising again.

However, if the cause of accident wasn’t your fault then you really shouldn’t be worried about your insurance rates rising. The truth is your insurance company already knows that you have been involved in a car accident.

This is because insurance companies communicate with each other and there is really nothing like a secret between insurance companies. Paying for all of your damages would be done quickly by your insurance companies before anyone else and this is because they owe you an act of good faith and standard dealing as well.

Your insurance company works for you while the insurance company of the at fault driver doesn’t and after footing all of your bills for damages and injuries.

Your insurance company will contact the insurance company of the at fault driver and move to get the money back from them. There are departments in an insurance company that are carved out to deal with situations like this.

Bottom Line – Insurance Company Will Not Repair My Car

One fact you should know is that attorneys have all it takes to get these insurance adjuster on their toes and this is why consulting with an attorney in cases like this can be very helpful.

They know the right moves to make that would help in resolving your case faster than you imagined so go ahead and contact an attorney if any insurance company won’t repair your car.
