Notwithstanding what the situation or rule of law might be in a particular place, the best advice or tip that anyone can give to you in situations like this is for you to go ahead and file a police report on the accident that you have been involved in no matter the extent of damages that has been suffered. Involving the police would definitely ensure that all that happened are being accounted for as well as obtaining of certain information like the driver at fault, extent of damage to the surrounding landscape, extent of damage to the vehicles involved and also anybody that appears to have sustained an injury. You would find it helpful in the nearest future if you actually document evidences and also file for a police report as it shows you are doing a great job at making sure no litigation claims arises in the future.

The help of a police report after a car accident would be helpful in speeding up the claims processing and here is one more thing that you should know; the aim of documenting reports should be used in documenting car accidents between two parties.
